optimal assassin weapon
What are the best daggers for an assassin? I use a build that includes bleeding and poison, and i already have droknars knives. But would a weapon with all the same buffs and an inscription be even better? My droknars knives cant be upgraded by inscriptions..

In PvE, zealous
also move this to the assassin forums, where we also have an on-going "best sin build" discussion. |

If you say 'weapon' and not just daggers... then I'll go for a +20% armor penetration hornbow.
You can do wonders with one of those and a correct build. |

Overall - I think I prefer the +5 energy inscription since it gives me a little more room to set up protection skills or get my first attack string off without worrying about energy. As a general rule I also prefer +20% enchanting instead of +30 health since I'm usually depending more on enchants than my armor or hp to keep me alive. |

I don't believe in 15^50 for sins.
woot, i get 15% more damage off my uber 7-17! that adds 1.05-2.55 damage. Personally, I prefer a +5e mod on assassins, the extra energy comes in handy very often. And yes, zealous +30 for pve, or maybe 20% ench depending on the build. |

Zealous 15^50 +5AL
Vamp 15^50 +5AL Elemental 15^50 +AL Longbow/Flatbow (And if you're willing to spend the inventory space, keep some +30hp and +5e ones in your inventory in case of big DP.) |

I'd say the only thing that's absolutely mandatory for a good set of assassin daggers is a zealous mod.
Honestly, with a half decent crit rate a zealous mod>all your energy issues use any kind of IAS on top of that and you'll wonder why any assassin would ever need to even look at their energy bar. aside from that the rest is more personal choice, +hp, +armor, or w/e +dmg% you like. |

As with all these discussions, the difference between one damage type and the other is minimal at best. Use whatever you want and what "fits" your build. Ignore all the posts that say this or that sux or that you must use this or that.

Droks knives cant be upgraded with an inscription, but they have one built in... so they are not "worse" per say than another max daggers of same stats with inscription |

set 1: Daggers: Vampiric, 15^50, +30
set 2: Daggers: Zealous, 15^50, +30 set 3: Daggers: Element, +5 energy, +20% enchant *if you don't have a solo build at all and don't plan to get one, then use +30* set 4: Flat bow: 20/20, 15^50, +30 For PvE, thats my opinion |
